Here is a bit about me
Sheri Briggs
“I understood I wasn’t alone in my pain, but was with My Father God in the darkest hour of my soul."
~ Sheri Briggs, Relentless Pursuit ~
Relentless pursuitAuthor
I started writing Relentless Pursuit about ten years ago. It's a memoir of my life, from the beginning. I was challenged to get real and share some of the hardest moments of my life to reveal the redeeming, faithful,
powerful and loving hand of God!
SUPPORT FOR Grief
A few years after my son Nathan went to heaven, I decided I wanted to walk alongside other
women who are grieving the loss of their children because It is a dreadfully lonely road.
I got my grief coach certification and studied Pesso Boyden for five years.
FOUNDERNon-Profit
In 2005, my husband and I started Bridge of Hope in inner-city San Diego. We strengthen families in transition by providing practical help and
community, to those in need. We provide food, clothing, and furniture
to approximately 1500 families per month.
MY STORY
I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and lover of Jesus. My husband Brewster Briggs, and I have six children total; his, mine and ours. Two of my children are in heaven. I am the founder of Bridge of Hope San Diego, which began in our garage in 2005. Bridge of Hope’s mission is to strengthen families in transition by providing practical help and community to those in need. I am also a grief coach and am passionate about supporting those who have lost a loved one. What brings me joy is spending time with my family and friends, studying God’s word, being in nature, repurposing old things, spending time at Bridge of Hope and hanging out with my dogs.
I grew up in an abusive home, was raised in a cult, experienced a brutal car accident, and tragically lost my son when he was 26 years old. From the outside, my life has been full of much tragedy, and believe me there have been many moments when I couldn’t see a way through. My story is one of imperfection. Of finding hope, my Father-God in the middle of my pain. I’ve discovered that God is the perfect Parent of His children and gives a deep experience of His love in the midst of suffering.
Through my book, blog, and podcast, I hope to encourage people of all ages, to trust God. To say yes to Him and step into their vision and calling. To know and believe in the God of the Bible! To believe that the nearness of God is available for each one of us and to believe and trust in the God of suffering as well as the God of the miraculous.

I started writing Relentless Pursuit about ten years ago. I have never thought of myself as a
writer… I just knew I needed to write this book and tell of God’s mighty wonders. I originally
thought I was only going to write about our organization, Bridge of Hope and all the miracles we
experience there everyday. But after my son died, it was clear that I needed to tell the whole
story. I was challenged to get real. To be honest- to remember and write about things buried deep under
shame. Things I never wanted to think about again let alone share with the world. I decided to
start at the beginning because knowing the whole story truly shows the redeeming, faithful,
powerful and loving hand of God!
He took me out of the miry clay and placed me on the rock and blessed me!
I also wanted to share the story because I want people to know my Jesus! He is the reason for
every good thing in my life! He has blessed me with a beautiful family, wonderful friends, an
incredible organization and has been ever more near to us in the loss of my son Nathan.
MY GRIEF JOURNEY
A few years after my son Nathan went to heaven, I decided I wanted to walk alongside other women who are grieving the loss of their children because It is a dreadfully lonely road. I got my grief coach certification, studied Pesso Boyden for five years, as well as studied art therapy. Those combined, along with my own grief and healing work, has led me to my own practice. I am honored to sit with many mothers, all across the country, who are choosing to keep moving forward, while daily waking up to the reality that their child is no longer with them.
