A little about me.
I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and lover of Jesus. My husband Brewster Briggs, and I have six children total; his, mine and ours. Two of my children are in heaven. I am the founder of Bridge of Hope San Diego, which began in our garage in 2005. Bridge of Hope’s mission is to strengthen families in transition by providing practical help and community to those in need. I am also a grief coach and am passionate about supporting those who have lost a loved one. God took what was evil in my life, including a cult upbringing, being born into an alcoholic home, a brutal car accident, and tragic family loss. He transformed me, and I discovered that God is the perfect Parent of His children and gives a deep experience of His love in the midst of suffering. In 2022 I published my story titled, "Relentless Pursuit: God's Gentle Guidance Amidst the Storm".

I started writing Relentless Pursuit about ten years ago. It's a memoir of my life, from the beginning. I was challenged to get real and share some of the hardest moments of my life to reveal the redeeming, faithful, powerful and loving hand of God!

A few years after my son Nathan went to heaven, I decided I wanted to walk alongside other women who are grieving the loss of their children because It is a dreadfully lonely road. I got my grief coach certification and studied Pesso Boyden for five years.

In 2005, my husband and I started Bridge of Hope in inner-city San Diego. We strengthen families in transition by providing practical help and community, to those in need. We provide food, clothing, and furniture to approximately 1500 families per month.

Marked By An Encounter – Forever Changed
I have recently felt it was important to share my testimony, in hopes to encourage someone out there- especially the youth and those younger than me (I am soon to be 62), to know that God is real and wants to meet us powerfully- right where we are at. I was raised in an abusive alcoholic home as well as a crazy cult. When I was young, I was tormented by anxiety and confusion and needed help. I was desperate to know if God was real.
 I sought Him, He answered and He rescued me.Â
God relentlessly pursues people. He loves us. He likes us and desires that all would know Him. I know without any doubt that He is faithful and His word is true- He is our redeemer and takes what is painful, difficult, ugly and wrong and makes it beautiful.Â
If you or someone you know is feeling uncertain about Him, about His love, who you are or whose you are, I hope you will listen and become encouraged to trust God with your life. He has a beautiful plan marked out for you. He is peace. He offers rest. Â
