Is there room?

I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and lover of Jesus. My husband Brewster Briggs, and I have six children total; his, mine and ours. Two of my children are in heaven. I am the founder of Bridge of Hope San Diego, which began in our garage in 2005. Bridge of Hope’s mission is to strengthen families in transition by providing practical help and community to those in need. I am also a grief coach and am passionate about supporting those who have lost a loved one. God took what was evil in my life, including a cult upbringing, being born into an alcoholic home, a brutal car accident, and tragic family loss. He transformed me, and I discovered that God is the perfect Parent of His children and gives a deep experience of His love in the midst of suffering. In 2022 I published my story titled, "Relentless Pursuit: God's Gentle Guidance Amidst the Storm".
This podcast will cover all topics related to my book Relentless Pursuit- God’s Gentle Guidance Amidst The Storm; faith, grief, ministry, family and the miraculous. I will be talking to different people who will be sharing their experience, strength and hope around each of these topics. I pray this podcast and these testimonies will encourage your heart to trust God -whether you are in a storm, or on a mountain top, or walking through a valley…. He is always there and relentlessly pursuits your heart.sheribriggs.com
My conversation with Matt was so insightful, I knew we needed to do another one! On this podcast, Matt shares from his own faith and experience, on the topic of mental health. Matt has become very passionate about the topic of mental health because of his own journey dealing with anxiety and depression. He addresses the question that he is frequently asked, ”Do you believe mental health issues are spiritual or do you think there is purely a psychological explanation for it all?”
His answer is yes. He believes it is both.
Matt shares that If something we are battling does not come from the character of God, it is not from Him. The Word of God says, 'God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.' Yet, God allows us to go through difficulty in order that our faith will be tested, strengthened, and refined for a greater purpose that will bless us and and those around us.
Matt and I also talk about our times of grief and suffering in this life, and the ways we have grown to know the nearness and love of the Father in a most beautiful and profound way, because of our struggles and seasons of suffering.
We also discuss simple God given ways to help calm our nervous systems when needed, while clinging to Jesus throughout the storms of life.
Matt is a pastor. He and his wife Maddie and their children live in Bali. (This recording may sound a little rough in spots.)

There are lessons for everyone in this book. Sheri has experienced almost every type of difficulty anyone can face and has remained victorious. It’s one of the most powerful books I’ve read for Christians of all levels of Bible knowledge and for anyone seeking to understand a Christian’s life in action.
Through the fires, Sheri forged a relationship with God that is raw, deep, and profound. You won't be able to put this book down - it's that great.
I began reading this with one mindset. Soon I abandoned that and let the life described lead me and guide me. The power of this book kept me pinned all the way to the end and I am stunned. Please read this book.
