Okay, this is where it gets really exciting. The reason I say exciting, is because I have never been so aware of the presence, nearness, power, and Mightiness of God, like I was in the moments and days that I will tell you about. The scripture says in Psalms, ” I am a ever present help in time of trouble” Ever present in the Hebrew language actually means “to catch. Remember the scripture, Psalm 91:10, that my Auntie Bettie was given two days before Memorial Day, “I will send my angels in charge concerning you, they will bare you up in their arms, lest you dash your foot against the stone. “Bare you up”, sounds almost the same to me as “to catch.“
In my last post I had left off that we were all in the van, cruising about 60 MPH on Highway 97 in Klamath Falls Oregon, with only about two hours to go until reaching home in Bend Oregon. Windows down, no seat belts, no shoes , singing to the song on the radio. Klamath Lake on the left, rock mountains on the right. Suddenly, a impatient driver pulled into our lane on a two lane highway, leaving us no where to go. I screamed. Brew reacted quickly and turned the wheel to the right. We hit the car. What happens next is like a dream. I felt very calm as I was being thrown around. I was saying in my head, ” This is a big crash…..hmmm, When will this be over?” I felt thrown and jerked, but completely sound in my mind. Next thing I know, I am sitting on the side of the highway. I looked down at my bloody legs and had total and complete peace like something I cannot explain. The very first thing out of my mouth was a scripture. I said it out loud and with fire, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” Isaiah 54:17. It was the Word of God that came forth out of my mouth, with authority and clarity. It was such an amazing feeling to see destruction, and experience it, but then to have the Spirit of the Lord arise in that moment and take over. It was life changing!! I can only describe the feeling I had like this- What cannot be shaken in us, won‘t be and Jesus is not shaken even when our bodies and our world is.
I want to focus on this and not get into the other details of the crash yet.. This was truly an encouragement to me and it is for you too. This was the biggest miracle to me, and really changed my perspective on when we experience the dark hour of our soul.. The Lord showed me that- in the day of trouble, when things are at their absolute worst, His Spirit so arises, His love and care so dominate, that we are not overcome by the tragic moment, but overwhelmed by His amazing grace and presence. When we are in Him and He is in us, His Spirit cannot be shaken. My husband says it like this, ” I had invested my life in Jesus, he is watching over that investment.” Our armor may get dinged up pretty darn bad, and I’ve got scars to prove it, but His Spirit is ALIVE and not thrown off in trouble, but actually supersedes the impact in the natural with His all consuming love. He is a consuming FIRE.. I know that those who witnessed the crash were horrified and terrorized for weeks after, because this crash was seen by many who contacted us for months to follow.. They were amazed that we were all still alive. I heard many times,” I could not tell if it was people flying in the air, or blankets or what.” But we were kept in His Hands. His Angels caught us. I tell people it was like an angel caught us and passed us to another angel to lay us down on the concrete. I believe we did not HIT the concrete even though we flew fifty feet, but were placed on it. We were kept in perfect peace. He took over. I did not falter in fear, but prayed and was able to calm my children. “God did not give us a Spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind” 2 Timothy 1:7. In the natural, that is not me. Ask my children. They will tell you I can be very overprotective and worrisome. Jesus took over!!!
Be encouraged! When Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow, he means it. I think we project hours, days, weeks and months ahead, worrying how this or that will work. Or we think based on lack, or the inability to be able to handle something that comes our way- health, finances, our children, etc. But I am here to say, and a witness of the Spirit of the living God- that He is El Shaddai, His grace is sufficient. He is Yahweh- He will be what is needed. He will be what you need, when you need it. Don’t look at tomorrow and think, how will I do this or that… Or I could never survive this or that. Trust me. He will be what is needed. “Let God arise, and His enemies will scatter” Psalm 68:1.
Stay in His Word.
Believe and stand firm on His Word
Know Him
What cannot be shaken, will not be!

Thank you for writing about this. Such a crazy experience and an encouragement to those that read it. Always good to be told that we are only promised the moments…
